Starting the EC&I 834 Journey
Updated: Jan 19
Hello all. I am glad to be joining you all in EC&I 834. I am looking forward to the chance to deepen my knowledge of building online education and to learn together with other educators.
I am Jamie Mayoh-Bauche. I am an educational designer at Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. I am lucky to get to work with great people planning learning on important policy topics. I have just started working on my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. I love learning in all its forms and am so far really enjoying my PhD journey.
Outside of school and work I really love spending time outdoors (especially when its warmer) doing things like camping, hiking, biking and travelling. I enjoy exploring our wonderful country and its many landscapes. I share my adventures with my two wonderful kids and my husband, Ryan.
I am activish on Twitter and my twitter profile is available for viewing at https://twitter.com/MayohBauche.
My goals for EC&I 834 are the following:
To add to my knowledge base of evidence based best practice for online course development and to organize this knowledge in an easily accessible way.
To connect with fellow educators and understand their experiences of planning courses online, especially for the first time.
To create a functional prototype of the course planning tool that I intend to utilize as part of my PhD research.
I will see you all in (Zoom) person later!
